RTO
Return To Origin — the package is sent back to the seller, usually after a failed delivery.
RTO stands for Return To Origin. It's what happens when a forward shipment fails to deliver — wrong address, refused at door, repeated absent attempts, etc. The package comes back to you, and the marketplace usually deducts a return-handling fee.
RTO rate is one of the loudest predictors of a seller's silent revenue loss. A 3% RTO rate eating ₹150/order means a 15-orders/day seller is losing ₹2,000/month on RTO alone — sometimes more.
The Robnu Understand pillar surfaces RTO patterns by SKU, courier, and pincode so you can stop them at the source — flagging risky-pincode buyers, blocking known-bad addresses, or switching couriers in problem zones.
