Your application is currently under QC review: what Meesho means.
It is the supplier onboarding status you see after submitting your details on supplier.meesho.com. Meesho is checking your GSTIN, PAN, bank account and pickup address. Here is how long it usually takes, what causes a hold, and what to do while you wait.
“Your application is currently under QC review” means Meesho’s onboarding team is verifying the GSTIN, PAN, bank account and pickup address you submitted before approving your supplier account. It typically takes 24 to 72 hours, longer in sale season. Do not create a second account; watch your registered email and SMS, and raise a ticket only after seven days.
- QC review is the onboarding identity check, run once, after you submit registration details.
- Meesho verifies four things: GSTIN or Enrolment ID, PAN, bank account, pickup address, and that the names agree.
- Typical wait is 24 to 72 hours; a week or more is possible in sale season or when a reviewer needs clarification.
- Holds and rejections come from name mismatches, inactive GSTIN, blurred uploads, restricted categories or a duplicate account.
- Use the wait to prepare your first catalog offline, so the day you are approved is the day you upload.
Where “under QC review” sits in Meesho onboarding
Submission, review, an optional request for more documents, then approval or rejection. Most applications skip the amber step entirely.
Every Meesho application status, and what to do
Labels in the panel change wording from time to time; these are the usual ones.
| Status | What it means | Your action |
|---|---|---|
| Under QC review | Your details are in the verification queue. A reviewer is checking GSTIN, PAN, bank and address. | Wait. Check email and SMS daily. Prepare your first catalog offline. Do not re-apply. |
| Additional documents required | One item could not be verified: usually a name mismatch, an unreadable upload or an address that does not match GST. | Read the exact request, fix the root cause (on the GST portal if needed), re-upload a clean scan the same day. |
| Approved | The Supplier Panel is unlocked. Catalog uploads, pickup settings and payments are available. | Upload the first catalog, set the bank and pickup details you will actually use, and connect your order operations. |
| Rejected | A hard failure: duplicate PAN or GSTIN, a restricted category, an inactive GSTIN, or documents that do not belong to the same entity. | Note the stated reason. If it is fixable, correct it and re-apply on the same identity. If it is a duplicate, recover the original account instead. |
What holds a Meesho application, and how the wait usually plays out
Nearly every hold traces back to one of five avoidable causes. Most clean files clear within three days.
Three guides to read while you wait
GSTIN for Meesho registration
Which GST registration Meesho accepts, what the Enrolment ID is for GST-exempt sellers, and how to check that your GSTIN is active before you apply.
Bank account for a Meesho seller
Whose name the account must be in, what proof reviewers accept, and why a name mismatch between bank and PAN is the single most common hold.
Multiple accounts on one PAN
What Meesho allows, why a second application on the same PAN or GSTIN is read as a duplicate, and how to add a second business properly.
The status line is short and the panel says nothing else, which is why so many new sellers search it word for word. Here is what is actually happening on Meesho’s side, how long it should take, and the small set of things that make it take longer.
What QC review actually checks
When you finish the registration form on supplier.meesho.com, your details go to an onboarding queue rather than being approved by software on the spot. A reviewer opens the file and verifies four things. First, the GSTIN, or the GST Enrolment ID if you registered as a seller of GST-exempt goods: the reviewer checks that it is active on the GST portal and reads the legal name of business from it. Second, the PAN: the name on it must match that legal name, or for a proprietorship, the proprietor’s name. Third, the bank account: the account holder name must agree with the PAN, because that is where Meesho will send your payouts. Fourth, the pickup address: it should match a place of business on the GST certificate and sit in a serviceable pincode, since a courier has to be able to collect from it. The whole check is really one question asked four ways: is this one genuine business, and do all its documents describe the same entity? Our guide to the documents Meesho asks for walks through each upload in detail.
A word on the GSTIN versus Enrolment ID choice, because it decides which check you go through. If you sell goods that attract GST, which is nearly everything in fashion, home, beauty and electronics accessories, Meesho expects a regular GSTIN and will verify it on the GST portal. If you sell only GST-exempt goods, such as certain unbranded food items or books, Meesho typically accepts the GST Enrolment ID that unregistered sellers can obtain for e-commerce, and the reviewer then leans harder on PAN and bank consistency because there is no GST certificate to cross-check the address against. Choosing the wrong path is a common self-inflicted hold: a seller of kurtis who applies with an Enrolment ID will be asked for a GSTIN, and the clock restarts. Our guide on GSTIN for Meesho registration explains which one applies to you.
How long it typically takes
In ordinary weeks, most clean applications move from “under QC review” to approved within 24 to 72 hours. Applications submitted late on a Friday or just before a public holiday tend to land at the slower end of that range. Around big sale events, when thousands of new suppliers apply in the same fortnight, the queue stretches and a week is not unusual. None of that is a signal that something is wrong with your file. The status does not update hour by hour, so refreshing the panel tells you very little; the useful signals are your registered email and SMS, which is where a reviewer’s request for a clearer document will arrive. If you registered with a mailbox you rarely open, open it now, and check the spam folder.
A quiet stretch is different from a silent one. If the status has not changed and you have received nothing after seven full days, that is when the wait has become a fault worth chasing, and the section on escalation below covers exactly how.
It also helps to know what the status does not mean. It does not mean a reviewer has found a problem; a problem usually produces a request for documents or a rejection, not a longer silence. It does not mean your category has been declined. And it does not mean the application has been lost, which is the fear that drives sellers to re-apply. The queue is first come, first served within each batch, so the only thing that moves your file forward is time, plus a fast, complete answer if a reviewer asks for something. Sellers who submit a clean file on a Monday morning and answer any follow-up the same day tend to see approval by midweek.
What causes a hold or a rejection
Almost every stalled application traces back to one of a handful of causes, and all of them are on the seller’s side of the file rather than Meesho’s. The largest by far is a name mismatch: “Sharma Traders” on the GST certificate, “SHARMA TRADERS PVT LTD” on the bank statement and “Ramesh Sharma” on the PAN. Some of those combinations are legitimate (a proprietor’s personal PAN with a trade name on GST is normal), but a reviewer cannot approve what they cannot reconcile, so the file waits. The second is a GSTIN that is inactive, suspended or cancelled, or a pickup address that does not appear anywhere on the GST registration. The third is simply unreadable uploads: a PAN photographed at an angle with glare across the number, a cancelled cheque cropped so the IFSC is missing, a screenshot instead of the document itself. The fourth is a restricted category, where the products you declared need a licence Meesho has not seen, or are not sold on the platform at all. The fifth, and the one that produces outright rejections rather than holds, is a second account on the same PAN or GSTIN. Meesho reads that as a duplicate, whether it was an old abandoned attempt or a relative’s shop using your GST. If that is your situation, read multiple Meesho accounts on one PAN before you do anything else, because the fix is to recover or close the earlier account, not to apply again.
When a rejection does arrive, read the stated reason literally before reacting. A rejection for “document mismatch” is an invitation to fix and re-apply on the same PAN; a rejection for “duplicate account” is telling you that an account already exists and that the path forward is recovering it, usually by logging in with the older mobile number or asking support to merge the record. A rejection for a restricted category is the one case where a different product line, rather than a different document, is the fix. Sellers who re-apply without changing anything get the same answer, and each repeated attempt on the same identity makes the next reviewer more cautious, not less. Fix, then re-apply, once.
What to do while you wait
Three things, and one thing not to do. Do not create a second account. It will not jump the queue, and it is the single most reliable way to convert a three-day wait into a rejection. Instead, first, check your registered email and SMS once a day, because that is the channel the onboarding team actually uses. Second, re-read your own uploads with a critical eye: if you can see a blur or a cropped edge, so can the reviewer, and having a clean re-scan ready means you can respond within minutes if a request arrives. Third, and this is the one that pays off most, prepare your first catalog offline. Shoot product images on a plain background, decide your size and colour variations, write your Seller SKU IDs and fill in the bulk sheet for your category. Approval is the moment the panel unlocks, not the moment sales begin; your listings must still pass catalog QC and go live. Sellers who have a sheet ready upload the same day they are approved and are taking orders while others are still photographing stock. Our guide to your first catalog upload on Meesho is the one to work through now.
After seven days: how to escalate
Seven full days with no status change and no message is the point at which patience stops being useful. The first move is a ticket from inside the Supplier Panel, if your partial access shows a help or support section; quote the mobile number and email you registered with, the date you submitted, and a one-line description of your business. Keep it factual. The second move, if the panel offers no ticket route at your stage, is seller support by email, with the same details. Save the ticket number or the email thread, because a second follow-up that references the first is treated far more seriously than a fresh complaint. Our guide to Meesho seller support and escalation explains how to word the ticket and when to follow up. What you should not do is send the same message five times in a day, or open a new application in parallel; both slow you down.
Approved: what happens next
Once the status flips to approved, the Supplier Panel opens fully. Go straight to the settings and confirm the bank account and pickup address the reviewer approved are the ones you actually want to use, because changing them later triggers a smaller re-verification. Then upload the catalog you prepared. From this point your daily life is order operations: accepting orders, packing to the label, handing over to the courier, dealing with returns and reading the payment statement. If you have not yet read the full onboarding walkthrough, our guide on how to open a Meesho seller account covers the parts that come before and after this status.
The first week after approval sets habits that are hard to change later. Two are worth fixing now. First, decide how you will process orders every day: which hours you accept and pack, how you print and check the shipping label against the parcel, and who hands over to the courier, because a late dispatch in week one hurts your seller rating before you have any volume to cushion it. Second, decide how you will check the money. Meesho pays on a cycle, and each payment statement carries commission, shipping, returns and occasional deductions per sub-order. Reading it against what you actually shipped is the only way to catch a wrong return charge or a missed payout, and the earlier the habit starts the cheaper it is. Many sellers connect an order management system in this first week for exactly that reason: the operations are small enough to set up properly, and the reconciliation runs from the first statement onward.
Catalog QC is a different check
One source of confusion: after approval you will keep seeing the letters QC, this time on every product you upload. That is catalog QC, a check on images, attributes and category rules that runs on each listing, and it is unrelated to the application review you have just been through. If a listing is stuck or rejected, our guide to Meesho catalog QC errors is the one you want; nothing about it affects your account approval.

What you can prepare while the application is under review
Each item either prevents a hold or shortens the gap between approval and your first order.
Search your GSTIN on the GST portal and read the legal name of business exactly as it is printed. Then compare it to the name on your PAN card. Spelling, spacing and initials must agree. If they do not, the fix is on the GST portal (or on the PAN, via NSDL or UTIITSL), not on Meesho.
A personal savings account in the proprietor's name is usually fine for a proprietorship, as long as that name matches the PAN. For a partnership or company, the account must be in the firm's name. Keep a cancelled cheque or a bank statement header ready in case additional proof is requested.
The pickup address should be the principal place of business or an additional place of business on your GST certificate. If your warehouse is elsewhere, add it as an additional place on the GST portal first. Keep the pincode exact; a wrong pincode is a frequent reason for a pickup address hold.
Reviewers reject what they cannot read. Photograph documents flat, in daylight, with all four corners visible and no fingers in the frame. A phone scan app that flattens the page is better than a photo taken at an angle.
Shoot product images on a plain background, decide your sizes and colours, write your Seller SKU IDs and fill the bulk sheet for your category. When approval arrives you can upload the same day instead of starting from zero.
Meesho's onboarding team communicates through the email and mobile number you registered with. Check the spam folder, keep the SIM active, and do not change either while an application is open, because a changed contact can silently break the thread.
Approval is day zero; the money starts mattering on day one
Getting through QC review is Meesho’s process and there is no shortcut through it. What comes after is yours to run: every order synced, processed and handed over on time, every return and claim followed up, and every payment statement checked against what you actually shipped. Robnu is the agentic OMS for Meesho, AJIO and Amazon sellers. It runs those daily order operations and reconciles each settlement so that every rupee the marketplace pays you is the rupee you were owed, from your very first order rather than after the first surprise deduction.

Meesho application under QC review, answered
It is the supplier onboarding status Meesho shows after you submit your registration details on supplier.meesho.com. QC stands for quality check. Meesho's onboarding team is verifying that your GSTIN or Enrolment ID, PAN, bank account and pickup address are genuine, active and belong to the same person or business. Nothing is wrong at this stage; it simply means the file is in the queue.
Typically 24 to 72 hours from submission. During sale seasons, festive periods, or when a large number of new suppliers sign up at once, it can stretch to a week or more. If a reviewer needs something clarified, the status usually changes to a request for additional documents rather than staying silent, so check your registered email and SMS rather than only the panel.
The usual reasons are a backlog on Meesho's side, a mismatch the reviewer is trying to resolve without rejecting outright, or a document that could not be read. After seven full days with no update, raise a ticket from the Supplier Panel help section or write to seller support quoting your registered mobile number and the date you submitted. Do not create a second account to speed things up.
No, and you should not try. A second application on the same PAN or GSTIN is one of the most common triggers for a rejection, because it looks like a duplicate or a workaround. Wait for the first application to resolve. If it is rejected for a fixable reason, correct the document and re-apply on the same details rather than opening a fresh identity.
Your GSTIN (or the GST Enrolment ID if you are selling GST-exempt goods), your PAN, a bank account in the same name, and a pickup address that matches the GST registration. The reviewer is mainly checking that the legal name is consistent across all four, that the GSTIN is active on the GST portal, and that the uploads are legible.
No. Application QC happens once, at onboarding, and checks your identity and business details. Catalog QC happens every time you upload a product and checks images, attributes and category rules. A seller with an approved account will still see catalog QC statuses on every listing; the two are unrelated checks run by different teams.
The Supplier Panel unlocks fully. You can upload your first catalog, set pickup slots and see orders once listings go live. Approval does not mean sales start immediately; your first catalog must clear its own QC and go live before buyers can see it, so many sellers prepare product images and a bulk sheet while the application is still under review.
