Receive returns by typing the code
The van arrives, the parcels come off, and somebody has to record them. Say return scan and then send codes one after another. Nothing about the result differs from a scan at the dock.
Send return scan, or receive return, or return entry. Robnu opens a receiving mode, and then every code you send is marked received: bag barcode, order number, sub-order, AWB, whatever is printed on the label in front of you. A return received this way is indistinguishable downstream from one received at the dock.
- The trigger is a short command, not a sentence, and that is deliberate. Wrong return is a claim type, so a sentence goes to the assistant instead.
- Once the mode is open, send codes one after another. Each is resolved to its return, with its account, product and disposition.
- Any code on the label works: bag barcode, order number, sub-order number or AWB. You do not have to find a particular one.
- Receiving is a Robnu-side fact. Nothing reaches a marketplace, it records that a parcel arrived at your bench.
- A parcel already marked received says so rather than erroring, so a double scan during a busy unload is harmless.
Return receiving is the least glamorous job in a warehouse and the one that quietly decides whether your claims succeed. A parcel that came back and was never recorded is a parcel you cannot prove arrived, and the claim windows on returns are short. The dock scanner handles this when somebody is at the dock with it. This handles the rest of the time, which in most warehouses is a lot of the time.
Opening the mode, and why the trigger is so narrow
Say return scan, receive return, or return entry. Short, command-shaped, matched exactly. A sentence will not open it.
That narrowness is a deliberate trade and it is worth knowing why, because it will occasionally send you to the assistant when you wanted the mode. The word return is the most dangerous trigger in this product. Wrong return is a claim type, and the single most common phrase a seller types while filing a claim. Why was my return rejected is a question for the assistant.
If a sentence containing return opened a receiving mode, it would hijack a claim capture halfway through, which is the exact class of bug that has cost this area the most. So the cost of the current design is one retry when you phrase it as a sentence, and the benefit is that filing a claim is never interrupted by a scanner opening underneath you.
Say the short form and it opens immediately. That is the whole workaround.
Sending the codes
Once the mode is open, send codes one after another as the parcels come off the van. There is no need to re-say the command between them.
Any code printed on what you are holding will do. The bag barcode, the order number, the sub-order number, or the AWB all resolve to the same return, with its account, its product and its disposition. This matters at speed: the person unloading should not have to hunt for one particular number among four printed on a label.
Each code you send is marked received and acknowledged, so you know it landed rather than hoping. A parcel that was already received says so instead of erroring, which means a double scan during a busy unload costs you nothing.
When the van is empty, leave the mode the way you would leave any other, and the chat goes back to normal.
A return received here is a return received, full stop
There is no second class of received. The chat uses the same resolver and the same receive action the web dock uses, writes the same audit event, and latches the same timestamp.
So everything downstream reads it identically. Your reports include it. Your reconciliation sees it. A claim that depends on proving the parcel arrived can use it. Nobody downstream can tell, or needs to tell, which door it came through.
Nothing here reaches a marketplace. Receiving records a fact about your own bench, which is Robnu's own knowledge rather than something to tell Meesho or AJIO about. That is why the action is safe to hand to whoever is unloading.
The van door, not the desk
The record has to be made where the parcel is
Why doing this at the moment of arrival matters
Returns are where the money leaks, and the leak is usually a timing problem rather than a dispute problem. A parcel that came back empty, or with the wrong item, or damaged, is claimable. A parcel nobody recorded is an argument.
The practical difficulty has always been that the moment of arrival is the worst moment to be at a computer. Somebody is holding parcels. The van is waiting. The scanner is at the dock and the parcels are at the door.
A phone solves that, because the phone is already in the room. The whole feature is the recognition that the record has to be made where the parcel is, not where the desk is.
If what comes back is wrong, the next step is a claim, and that can also start in the same chat with photos and a video.
The part of this Robnu does for you
Robnu reads your Amazon account and reconciles every settlement line back to the order that caused it, so a wrong deduction is visible the day it lands.
- Orders, returns, payouts and inventory synced
- Every settlement line matched to its order
- FBA units Amazon has not made good, listed
Where this sits in the rest of your Amazon operation
On Amazon, Robnu syncs your orders, returns, payouts and inventory, reconciles every settlement line back to the order that caused it, lists the FBA units Amazon's own ledger has not made good, flags a return that never came back before the SAFE-T window closes, and scans returns in at your dock. It reads your Amazon account rather than writing to it, so accepting orders and making labels run on AJIO and Meesho today. Related reading:

Questions sellers ask
Send return scan, receive return, or return entry. The trigger is matched as a short command rather than as a sentence, so say one of those exactly rather than asking in a full sentence. Once the mode is open, send codes one after another without repeating the command.
Because return is the most dangerous trigger word in the product. Wrong return is a claim type and the most common phrase typed while filing a claim, and why was my return rejected is a question for the assistant. If a sentence opened a scanner it would hijack a claim capture mid-flow, so sentences go to the assistant and only the short command opens the mode.
Whichever is easiest to read on what you are holding. The bag barcode, the order number, the sub-order number and the AWB all resolve to the same return. That is deliberate, because somebody unloading a van should not be hunting for one specific number among the four printed on a label.
No. It uses the same resolver and the same receive action, writes the same audit event and latches the same timestamp, so it is indistinguishable downstream. Reports, reconciliation and claims all read it identically.
It tells you it was already received rather than erroring or double-counting. That is intentional, because double scans are normal during a fast unload and an error at that moment would stop the line for no reason.
No. Receiving records that a parcel arrived at your bench, which is Robnu's own knowledge. Nothing in this path reaches Meesho, AJIO or any other marketplace, which is why it is safe to hand to whoever is unloading.
