Batch
A grouped set of orders moved together through the 11-stage flow.
A batch is a group of orders you process together. Most sellers run one or two batches a day — a morning batch and an evening batch are common. Some run one big batch close to the SLA deadline.
Batching matters because the closure policy is per-batch, the SLA watchdog is per-batch, and the document print run is per-batch. The choice of batch size has operational consequences — too small means too many manifest closures, too big means the watchdog can't react fast enough if something goes wrong.
For 5–25 orders/day, two batches a day (mid-morning and end-of-day) is the sweet spot Robnu defaults to.
