Open manifest
A manifest that is started but not yet closed — orders can still be added.
An open manifest is the working surface for the day. As confirmed shipments come through the 11-stage flow, they accumulate in the open manifest. You can still add, remove, or correct entries.
Most operating mistakes happen at this stage — slips printed for orders that didn't make it into the manifest, or shipments that did make it but lost a slip somewhere along the way. The document pipeline keeps slip + invoice + manifest line in lockstep so this stops happening.
Open manifests close automatically (immediate / delayed closure policy) or manually. Whichever you choose, the SLA watchdog watches the clock so a planned closure never becomes an accidental late one.
