Deduction
Money the marketplace withholds from a settlement — for missed SLA, RTO, quality, etc.
A deduction is a line item on your settlement that says "the marketplace owed you ₹X but is paying ₹X minus this amount." Reasons vary: missed SLA, quality complaint, mis-pick, RTO leak, slip mismatch, late acknowledgement.
Deductions are the silent revenue loss vector that motivated Robnu. They land two weeks after the settlement, in a settlement statement, in a sub-line that's easy to miss. By the time you notice, the dispute window has narrowed and the courier-side evidence may be gone.
The Protect pillar's job is to surface deductions in real time, classify them (recoverable vs. accept-loss), and file claims with packing slip + vendor invoice + customer invoice + manifest already attached as evidence.
